Okay, I'm sure some of you have read at least a few of Laurel K. Hamilton's books. If you're unfamiliar with her books, some of her more well known ones were about this human necromancer woman named Anita Blake. She lives in modern times and in this book series' universe all the dark parts of fantasy (i.e. vampires, zombies, lycanthropes) are co-existing with modern humanity. Now admittedly, I did enjoy the first few books in that series. There was sexual tension and that provided for some entertainment in the stories. However, after the characters started having sex...that's all her following books seemed to be about (sex or sexual things). And the new series she's got sounds almost the same (the main character even thinks/speaks the same way as Anita Blake). *YAWN* She might as well admit the truth and start saying her books are romance novels (she's really in a rutt). Because really, that's what they sound like now. Although, if you're looking for a dark/serious romance novel...they are worth checking out.
